CAD Junky Privacy Policy

 

Thanks for visiting and contributing to Cad Junky!  CADjunky provides a means for public users of the internet (“Users”) to find and share interesting and informative tips and advice on the use of various computer-aided design (CAD) products, via videos and other media (“Content”).  We know Users may have questions regarding the privacy of their interactions on the internet.  We hope this privacy policy statement will answer any questions you may have, but if it does not, please feel free to contact us at the email address or postal address shown below.

 

Limited Anonymous Use.  In general, you can visit the CADjunky website without telling us who you are or revealing any personal information about yourself, such as your name, phone number or postal or email address.

 

Posting to CADjunky - No Anonymous Use is Possible.  You must register with SolidWorks to post Content on CADjunky or to post comments or interact with postings on CADjunky.  In general, you must provide Nig and SolidWorks with your username, a password of your choice, an email address and, optionally, a photo.  If you do not provide this information, you will not be able to interact with the Content on CADjunky.

 

Any personal information or video content that you voluntarily disclose online (via videos you post, discussion boards, comments to videos, etc.) becomes publicly available and can be collected and used by others.


Your account name (not your email address) is displayed to other Users when you upload videso or send messages through CADjunky and other Users can contact you through the internet and other media channels, and may be viewed by the general public.

 

By registering on CADjunky, you agree (1) to comply with the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy, and (2) that SolidWorks,  Ning and any User may process (i.e., collect, use, etc.) your Personal Data as described in this Privacy Policy or the Terms of Use.  Personal Data may be processed by SolidWorks,  Ning or User(s) in the country where it was collected as well as other countries (including the United States) where laws regarding processing of Personal Data may be less stringent.

 

CADjunky is hosted by Ning and your use of the site is also subject to the Ning Privacy Policy, which you can find at http://www.ning.com/privacy.html.

 

SolidWorks’ Use of Personal Information.   SolidWorks may use the personal information you provide us for a variety of purposes, including authentication and marketing.  SolidWorks may collect information such as number of visits, average time spent on the site, pages viewed, etc., and this information will be traceable back to you.  SolidWorks uses this information to analyze how people use our service and to generate ideas on how the service might be improved.

 

We may also use your personal information to inform you of special offers, upgrades and other SolidWorks products and services that may be of interest to you.  We may also share your information with SolidWorks partners or other companies and organizations providing search capabilities on the website or other complementary services.

SolidWorks does not monitor nor control the acts and postings of the Users of the CADjunky site.  Therefore, SolidWorks is not responsible for any actions of Users or third parties.
